We announced late last week on our Facebook page that we are going to make some big changes to our consulting business in 2014. Many people have emailed me asking me what these changes are. I kept saying hang on and we’ll announce it on our blog. So, without further ado, here are the big changes…
Effective January 1, 2014, we are doing away with the 3-month MSP Growth program. We had a handful of MSPs take part in this program and we helped them as best we could in such a short time. However, this program is not in line with the goals of our business to help MSPs succeed in the long term. This change also includes the offer we have extended to the ASCII group.
Anyone who is currently on the MSP Growth Program will continue to work with us until the end of their 3-months. To stay engaged with us they will need to join our other program options.
Like every business, we too are experiencing the pinch of the economy and rising costs of staff, healthcare and expenses. Effective January 1, 2014 our rates will increase. The new rates will apply only to new partners who sign on to work with us. Current partners who are under a contract will not be affected by this rate increase until their contract is up.
We are going to be creating a month-to-month consulting offering. That’s right, no long-term contract. The rate for the month-to-month program will be more than a 12-month contract but it allows us to help more MSPs who only need us for a few weeks or a couple of months.
We will begin offering consulting by the hour. There have been times over the last year that we have had requests to purchase a couple of hours of consulting time. Hourly billing was never in our business model. But, after giving it more thought, we have decided to offer this service in 2014 on a trial basis. We’ll see how it goes next year and then decide whether or not to make it a full-blown offering for 2015.
We feel the changes we are making will help us in many areas of our business and will streamline what we do for MSPs as well as other small and medium businesses.
We look forward to these changes in 2014 while working with our current and new companies in the New Year. If you are thinking about working with us in 2014, engage with us now so that you get in on the 2013 pricing.
We at Stuart Selbst Consulting hope that your sprint to the finish of 2013 is successful and that 2014 is your best year ever.
All the best in success,
